I’m Jill and I’m the National Marketing Manager at Foster Wales. Previously spending 15 years with Flintshire County Council’s fostering service.
I have been working in fostering for over 18 years, since back in 2006 (BBC NEWS | Wales | North East Wales | Appeal to find more foster carers). So it’s safe to say I’ve fallen in love with fostering.
I find the stories of young people and foster carers a privilege to hear and share.
I’m passionate about making foster care the best it can be, for children and carers.
My hope for the future is that, for children who need foster care, that we can offer them a safe, kind place, not too far from home. And by working together as local authorities in Wales, I believe we can achieve change.
I’ve had many cherished fostering memories in the last 18 years, but these little moments are not in the news. So here are a few other things I’m proud of…
